Our client is a fine dining catering operation, providing the highest level of bespoke cuisine for niche markets, working with VIP clients around Birmingham and the private aviation sector.
The Situation:
Practical Industrial Flooring Solutions
During 2024, our client decided to expand their operations and took over a new facility, requiring a floor upgrade.
Their brief formed two distinct parts:
- Surface preparation of the kitchen area only.
- A polished finish to the warehouse part of the building.
The client needed a durable, low-maintenance solution for their warehouse area, emphasising functionality over appearance.
Our Industrial Polished Concrete Finish was the chosen system.

The Process:
Industrial Concrete Surface Preparation
After the mezzanine deck was installed and the floor area cleared, surface preparation work commenced in the kitchen area. An old resin coating was removed in readiness for the client’s new floor covering system to be installed. At the same time, a grind & polish process was undertaken in the Warehouse area.

Adding a Little Gloss to an Industrial Concrete Finish
Using our vacuum-enhanced planetary grinding equipment, our industrial finish included the removal of the worn resin coating, grinding the surface and ensuring this was fine-tuned to help us get the best finish from the floor.
Once the grinding stages were finished, the polishing process followed, delivering a little gloss on the floor.
Also included was the application of CoGri Densifier and CoGri DenPro to help improve durability, ease of cleaning the warehouse floor, and enhance the floor’s finished appearance.
The Results:
It was a privilege to showcase our skills on this project for a new client, with a floor system designed to support their operations.
