The Situation:
Enhancing Industrial Areas Using Resin Screed Systems
Our client was fitting out a small industrial unit. The building needed a new floor system that would be welcoming for incoming staff and visitors, so they approached CG Flooring for our knowledge and skills in providing attractive, resilient resin screed systems.

The Process:
The Importance of Industrial Floor Surface Preparation
The key to success for all flooring projects is getting the surface preparation right. Once the floor surface is properly prepared, delivering the best possible finish for the new resin flooring system becomes far easier.
Although the concrete floor slab was in sound condition, minor repairs were carried out prior to the floor being mechanically prepared by vacuum-enhanced diamond grinding.
After the repairs and grinding were completed, the surface was treated to two coats of primer, ready to receive CoGri Resmooth, our epoxy resin floor screed.
A light grey colour was chosen to help enhance the appearance within the unit and provide a welcoming environment for those working here. As well as improving aesthetics, the epoxy resin floor provides a smooth finish, protects the concrete substrate, and is easy to clean.
